Today’s forecast is sunny with a chance of streaming music. Finally the moment so many people have been waiting for is here, the HP Play music syncing service has arrived. It’s currently still in beta but it’s already off to a great start and definitely the beginning of something special. It’s not a full-fledged streaming and wireless music syncing service yet, but it’s still in its infancy and the more people that begin using it the quicker additional services and improvements can be made.
At the moment, you can sync music to your TouchPad tablet with HP Play using a USB cable, but this is only temporary. Sooner than later HP plans to go completely wireless across all devices. We all know webOS is more than capable of achieving this, but HP wants to weed out all the bugs before proceeding to a fully wireless environment. Syncing music to your HP TouchPad can be done either automatically or manually, depending on your selected preferences when installing the software on your MAC or PC.

Initially during your first time install of the software you’ll be prompted with a few general questions including what media you desire to import. This also includes the options to import music from your iTunes music collection. Moments after you have everything installed you can begin setting up your personal Media Library, rip and burn custom CD’s, create playlists, and last but far from least begin syncing music on your webOS devices such as the TouchPad.
Seamlessly sync and organize music and folders on all of your devices. You’ll be amazed at how simple the process is. It’s fair to say once you experience HP Play you’ll most likely consider making it your media player of choice, and for good reason. The first public release only supports syncing of music but the ability to sync other media types including photos and videos is just around the corner.
The first public release of HP PLay beta is a sign of great things to come for HP and the people who use their top notch devices. HP is definitely making tremendous progress while continuing to innovate their line of mobile products and services.
Stay tuned for more great news surrounding HP Play in the near future. In the meantime, we urge you to take part in this beta service.
