Starting tomorrow the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 4G tablet PC launches in India and will be priced at Rs 9,500 or approximately $188 CAD.
This newly released Android tablet will go on sale on January 5, 2018 at select retail stores throughout India as well as on Amazon India.
The Galaxy Tab A 7.0, model number SM-T285, is an affordable and entertainment-friendly tablet PC with two of the main selling points being that it offers 4G LTE support and has VoLTE voice calling capabilities. Another great feature is with parental controls and Kids Mode parents can also restrict access to specific apps of their choice and set device usage limits.

In addition to 4G and VoLTE the device also has WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with GLONASS connectivity options.
Samsung India’s Director, Vishal Kaul, made the following comment on the launch:

With Galaxy Tab A 7.0, we are providing our customers a device that is the perfect blend of refined design, superior display, great performance and non-stop entertainment. Galaxy Tab A 7.0 caters to consumers’ On-the-go and Me-time needs thereby acting as a perfect companion for their active lifestyle.
The Galaxy Tab A 7.0 will be available in either black or white at launch. This new slate comes equipped with a 4000 mAh battery which according to Samsung is capable of providing up to 9 hours of video playback. Some other specs include a 5 MP auto focus rear camera and a 2 MP front camera, a 7 inch WXGA TFT HD display, 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 8 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot providing up to 200 GB of external storage and 1.5 GB of RAM.
This new slate measures in at 186.9 x 108.8 x 8.7 mm and weights 286g.
