Samsung has unveiled their all new Galaxy J5 Pro which is an upgraded version of their already released Galaxy J5 smartphone.
At this time there’s no word regarding whether or not the Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro will be available in other markets such as Canada or the United States, but it can be purchased now in Thailand for THB 9,990 which is roughly just over $380 CAD or $295 USD. Most of the specs are identical but the J5 Pro sports 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage whereas the original J5 handset only has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage space.
The Galaxy J5 Pro runs on the latest Android Nougat mobile operating system, has dual-SIM support, and includes a front panel with a built in fingerprint scanner. The smartphone also comes bundled with a custom designed Android skin by Samsung. It also has a sleek metal design.
Other specs worth mentioning are its 5.2-inch Super AMOLED HD display with 720×1280 pixel resolution, a 1.6GHz Exynos 7870 octa-core processor along with Mali T830 GPU, and a 3,000 mAh battery. Being that the device is so new and only became available as of today, we don’t know at this time how long exactly the battery lasts on a single charge. Additionally, this new Android smartphone has 13MP cameras with LED flash on both the front and back. The only difference with the front and rear cameras is that the front sensor has f/1.9 aperture while the rear camera sensor has f/1.7 aperture. With its microSD card slot you can also expand your external storage up to 256GB. The Galaxy J5 Pro also has VoLTE support.
If and when the recently announced Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro becomes available in other international markets we’ll be sure to keep you informed! Although we don’t know if or when, it is quite likely to reach other markets across the globe, so if you were about to purchase the Galaxy J5 you may want to consider holding off just for a bit in order to get the Pro variant.
