The new durable and rugged outdoor Samsung Galaxy XCover 4 will be launching in Canada this month on June 23 through Montreal based mobile service provider Bell.
With its MIL-STD 810G certified military grade protection, the Galaxy XCover 4 is designed to withstand damage and pressure. It’s claimed that the new Android 7.0 Nougat powered smartphone can be submerged for up to 30 minutes under 1.5 meters of water and it’s rough outer shell is designed to protect it from extreme hot and cold weather conditions which of course us fellow Canadians know about all too well.
It’s unclear at this point how much Bell will be charging for the device or what mobile plans they will offer but, if the device’s European market launch price is any indication, we’re guessing the Samsung handset itself will cost roughly around the $400 mark. It’s expected that Bell will make an official announcement with more concrete details sometime within the next week or so.
There’s also no guarantee at this point whether or not other Canadian phone carriers such as Freedom Mobile for example will carry the device but we’re guessing that they will. We’re also hoping of course that the OS can be upgraded once Android 8.0 is officially released and out of beta but only time will tell.
