Rumors have recently developed that Samsung is currently working on a rugged new Galaxy Tab Active 2 tablet PC for the Latin America and European market.

Samsung unveiled the original Galaxy Tab Active back in September 2014. Nearly three years later, the company is rumored to be working on a successor to this highly durable, waterproof, and rugged tablet. Although no official specs have been leaked as of yet, reports claim that the tech giant is working on two model variants for the upcoming new tablet.

These Galaxy Tab Active 2 variants include a LTE + Wi-Fi version with model number SM-T395, and a Wi-Fi only version with model number SM-T390.

At this point it’s expected that the next generation Galaxy Tab Active 2 tablet will first launch in Latin America and European markets with chances of expanding to other countries depending on the success, demand, and popularity of the device.

Without official specs being announced it’s anyone’s guess as to what Samsung has in store for the new tablet. It’s not far fetched to assume however that the Galaxy Tab Active 2 will be water resistant, able to withstand drops, absorb shock, and be able to handle both extreme high and low temperature environments as well as humidity.

As of now we don’t know much else but we’ll of course keep you in the loop as more information becomes available.
