Porsche Design is known for their famous products such as luxury watches, perfumes, handbags, fashion accessories, and clothing, and now they’ve added a high end 2-in-1 tablet PC to their repertoire of expensive items called the Porsche Design BOOK ONE. It’s received a lot of praise since it was first unveiled at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year.
With its brushed and anodized aluminium body, the overall design concept of the Porsche Design BOOK ONE was inspired by the gearbox of a sports car. Within seconds you can transform the device from a high end tablet PC to a high-performance laptop.
This sleek device was nominated for a 2017 Der Goldene Computer award in the “Design” category. Just like Porsche vehicles, it may not be cheap or within everyone’s budget, but you do get what you pay for. The Microsoft Windows based Porsche Design BOOK ONE touch screen device is a beast when it comes to specs. It’s great for gaming, rendering 3D graphics, video editing, and practically any type of task you’d need to use a regular computer for.
This powerhouse of a machine comes equipped with a super fast Intel 512GB PCIe solid-state drive and 16GB of RAM. Trust me, for those of you who have never used a computer with a SSD, once you have you’ll never go back to any other type of hard drive. It also has a seventh-generation Intel Core i7-7500U processor, 13.3 inch screen, and a 10-finger-multitouch QHD+ IPS-display with a 3200×1800 pixel resolution. You can also login using facial recognition with its infrared camera using Windows Hello. This bad boy also has two USB Type-C 3.1 ports, one of which is Thunderbolt, and it comes with a USB Type-C to HDMI adapter.
Again, the Porsche Design BOOK ONE is a rather pricey 2-in-1 tablet but if you’re looking for a durable and portable touch screen device with high end specs it’s worth checking out and definitely has the wow factor!
