Nokia 8 Steel

Nokia has always designed great phones. Now that they’ve made the decision to launch new handsets running the Android OS it could be just what the company needs to broaden their horizons and catapult them to the top of everyone’s smartphone wishlist. It’s even expected that the Nokia 8 could rival the likes of Samsung’s S series phones.

I’ve personally owned two different Lumia model phones, and I absolutely loved them. My only gripe was I felt limited to what I could do with the Windows Mobile OS. It’s not that I don’t like Windows Mobile, it’s just that unfortunately most app and mobile game developers don’t release Windows Mobile OS versions of their apps.

Okay back on topic here, let’s talk Nokia 8 specs. Based on what we know so far, thanks to infamous phone leaker and Venture Beat blogger Evan Blass, the Nokia 8 will be powered by the new flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset which is impressive all in itself. As if that’s not impressive enough, it will also sport dual 13MP cameras featuring Carl Zeiss optics. It’s expected to have a 5.3-inch QHD display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution along with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Whether the display will be LCD or OLED is a mystery right now.

Color options will include blue, steel, and gold/copper. Keep in mind however these are all just rumored specs at this time and we won’t know any concrete details until HMD Global makes their official announcement and unveiling. We’ll of course keep you posted as we learn more.

What are some of your thoughts so far about the upcoming Nokia 8 Android phone? Is this a smartphone you’d consider buying? Please let us know!
