Earlier this week the third commercial for the iPad 2 was released by Apple. Their latest TV ad is titled “Now”. All iPad 2 commercial spots to date have been inspiring and this one is no exception. Part of what sets Apple apart from it’s competitors is the fact that they don’t need to brag about hardware specs in order to get a simple message across. Rather than boast about the advanced hardware components that are used they simply show the iPad 2 in action and how it makes typical day to day tasks easier.

This latest 30 second installment from Apple portrays how the iPad 2 has evolved and changed our lives. It depicts how their tablet has turned familiar experiences such as reading a newspaper, studying and making a phone call into more entertaining as well as productive experiences that can only be delivered by a one of a kind device like the iPad 2.

Narration for this ad:

Now we can watch a newspaper, listen to a magazine, curl up with a movie and see a phone call. Now we can take a classroom anywhere, hold an entire bookstore and touch the stars. Because now there’s this.

Final Thoughts

As usual, just like previous Apple iPad 2 commercials, “Now” is subtle and to the point. Competitors continue to struggle in their attempts to compete with the iPad tablet. They try too hard to flaunt features such as Flash compatibility and advanced specs while Apple gets the attention of consumers almost effortlessly.
