A lot of exciting announcements have been made during Microsoft’s Ignite 2017 conference, one of which being Lenovo’s new ThinkSmart Hub 500 device.
While some people argue that the tablet PC industry is dying a slow and painful death, companies like Lenovo continue to prove such critics wrong by releasing new and innovative touchscreen products. Lenovo’s aims to improve productivity and transform conference rooms with their recently announced ThinkSmart Hub 500.
The device has many cool features such as for example the ability to be swiveled a complete 360 degrees on its solid base. The tablet has an 11.6-inch touchscreen display along with 360-degree array microphones and built-in Dolby Audio Premium.
Often times efficiency is reduced and productivity as well as money is lost in meeting rooms due to technology that either doesn’t work that great, is too bulky or complicated to hook up. The ThinkSmart Hub 500 not only has an intuitive touchscreen but also only takes about 10 minutes to set up according to Lenovo.
We all know that time is money and being that the workplace is constantly evolving it only makes sense that video conferencing and conference room technology that is highly portable evolves along with it. In collaboration with Microsoft’s Windows 10 IoT (Internet of Things) Enterprise and Skype Rooms Systems, the ThinkSmart Hub 500 also makes it even easier to connect with other people from around the world.
General manager and senior VP of Lenovo’s Commercial Business Segment, Christian Teismann stated during the announcement:
“Together with Microsoft, we are excited to combine our skills and expertise to help customers enable smarter meeting rooms with devices like the ThinkSmart Hub 500.”
At this time Lenovo hasn’t announced how much this new conference room tablet will cost but it is expected to hit the market in early 2018. We’ll of course keep you up to date as we learn more about it’s pricing and availability.
