Google’s Jamboard, the company’s new cloud-based smart whiteboard, now has an official Android app available for download on the Play Store.
Now with the official Jamboard app you can create new jams, bring your jams to life by inserting new content, and even create and collaborate on jams from anywhere straight from your Android tablet. You can of course also install the app on your Android smartphone but at this point the app’s abilities and features are slightly limited compared to what you can do with the newly launched app from your tablet. Chances are likely that will change though as the app continues to evolve and get updated over time. You won’t be able to create new jams from your Android smartphone just yet, but you can still use it as a controller as well as detect nearby jams.
Check out the video below to see the Jamboard and it’s associated Android app in action.
Google’s Jamboard is the company’s answer to Microsoft’s Surface Hub. The Jamboard currently costs about $4,999 USD so it’s a bit pricey but still not as expensive as Microsoft’s Surface Hub which runs more around the $10,000 mark. It’s currently available in three different colour options which include Graphite Gray, Cobalt Blue, and Carmine Red.
It’s a 55-inch touchscreen device that is very intuitive and is great for creators and enterprises. It’s also great for personal use if you can afford it. It has a 4K UHD display and its capabilities completely transforms and revolutionizes your workspace or classroom.
We’re hoping the Jamboard will soon become available in Canada. All we know at this point is that Google has stated they will begin selling their new digital whiteboard in Canada and the UK at some point during this summer.
So if you’re lucky enough to own or have access to the Jamboard, be sure to click the button below to download the Jamboard app from the Google Play Store today.
