Starting on September 4, 2017 the new Cool Play 6 smartphone from Coolpad will go on sale in India exclusively on Amazon.
The Cool Play 6 is a slick new device with high end specs. Starting at the price of Rs. 14999, it also happens to be one of the most affordable Android smartphones on the market that comes equipped with 6GB of RAM. It will come with the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS along with Journey UI. An OTA Android 8.0 update is expected by December 2017.
Coolpad’s flagship boasts a 5.5″ IPS Full HD (FHD) display along with a 13MP dual camera on the back, and 8MP front facing selfie camera.
With it’s 1.95 GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor, Adreno 510 GPU, 6GB of RAM, and 4060 mAH battery, it’s able to operate at very fast speeds while keeping power consumption low. This makes it the perfect device for gaming and multimedia. The company claims the phone’s battery lasts up to 252 hours on standby and around 6 hours when used for extreme gaming.

Well they are definitely starting trends with big plans for major expansion in India. James Du shared with reporters that during the next six months the company plans to launch exclusive new Coolpad service centers throughout 5 different cities spanning across India.

Year 2017 has been a game changer for Coolpad in India and we continue to put our resources in the country with a plan to achieve 50% growth to extend our market share to 6% of the total market in India.
Other notable specs of the Cool Play 6 are a superfast fingerprint sensor for added security, 64GB of internal storage (ROM), a metal unibody, 1980 x 1080 resolution, 2G/3G/4G network compatibility with support for download speeds of up to 300 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 150 Mbps. Additionally it will have a dual SIM, support for Bluetooth 4.1, and like many of the new tablets and smartphones that are launching will also come equipped with a USB Type C port for faster charging and data transfer speeds. Following the popular trend of making phones more bezel-less, the Cool Play 6 also has a 72% screen-to-body ratio.
