Amazon has introduced their new flagship Fire HD 10 tablet which is faster, has a better screen and is even more affordable than its predecessor.
The all new 2017 model Fire HD 10 tablet PC has numerous improved specs and will begin shipping during the week of October 11, 2017.
For starters, it has a full 10.1-inch 1080p HD display which is the first tablet released by Amazon to have this good of a screen since launching their Fire HDX back in 2013. The real kicker could possibly be its price point depending on who you ask. The starting price of the new Fire HD 10 will be a mere $150 which will easily make it one of the best budget tablets on the market for the specs and overall cost.
Furthermore, it will sport a faster quad core processor than the last model making the new Fire HD 10 run quicker. It will also have up to 10 hours of battery life which is quite an improvement from the previous model which only had roughly an 8 hour battery life.
The entry level model will also start at 32 GB of internal storage as opposed to the previous model which started at only 16 GB. It will of course also come with a microSD card slot for expandable storage up to 256 GB.
As usual, Fire tablets run on a modified version of the Android mobile OS and the new Fire HD 10 is no exception. The difference is, the updated OS has a bunch of cool new features for you to enjoy and benefit from. For instance, using the “For You” feature, you’ll be able to launch and access your most frequently used apps much quicker from the device’s home screen.
Another cool feature of the updated OS is the ability to use your tablet as an Amazon Echo device with hands-free Alexa. You will of course be able to turn this feature on or off via the device’s control panel.
You’ll be able to purchase the new Fire HD 10 tablet in either red, blue or black. There will of course be optional device protective covers available for purchase separately. By default the device will come bundled with Amazon ads but for just $15 you can have such promotional offers permanently removed from your device.
Overall, this new slate may not have the highest specs compared to some other tablets on the market, but the specs are still very descent and come at an unbeatable price point. Amazon has the power to sell such devices at far lower prices than competitors being that their tablets also connect to other optional products and features such as music and videos. Either way, Amazon makes quality devices and if you’re looking to purchase an affordable new tablet you’ll definitely want to consider the new and improved Fire HD 10 which will be available very soon!
