Mark this coming Thursday, July 28th on your calendar because the new Verizon 4G LTE Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is on it’s way! The new versions will begin to ship on Tuesday and will be available for purchase before next weekend which is exciting news.
Initially Verizon had plans to launch the LTE Galaxy Tab 10.1 back in early June, however that never happened and the company has experienced some delays. Also, the Motorola Xoom was suppose to be the first LTE tablet from Verizon but that never came through yet either. Whatever the case, it’s better late than never and surely it will have been worth the wait! The new launch date for next week has been confirmed so you can be rest assured and relieved about that.

These new LTE models will also be powered by Google’s Android 3.1 Honeycomb operating system and come equipped with a microSIM card. Some people were not overly thrilled about Android 3.0 and found it to be a bit, well, buggy. Along with Android 3.1 came some fixes as well as some much needed improvements and overall it’s a more stable OS than the previous version.
Regarding Android 3.0, one of the industries top experts mentions:

Nonetheless, many improvements did arrive with the latest version of Honeycomb including smoother and quicker web browsing, improved HTML5 video support and the ability for USB ports to act as hosts among other things. So, along with these improvements and the fact that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is one of the most advanced and powerful tablets on the market, the addition of 4G LTE versions is a major advantage to an already stable and popular device.
It’s also been confirmed that black/metallic gray version will be available across all channels including all stores as well as through online purchases. If you want the white version you’ll only be able to acquire it through ‘Direct Fulfillment’ on July 28, at least that’s how it stands for the time being.
